#IPL 2023: Who will win the Orange Cap in IPL 2023? Here are the leading candidates as the playoffs begin
Most of the front-runners for the Orange Cap, which is presented to the player with the most runs scored during the tournament, are no longer in the running in IPL 2023. The teams of six of the top ten batters competing for the award were eliminated during the league stage. There are now just five hitters who have a chance to take home the Orange Cap in the IPL in 2023.
The CSK’s Ruturaj Gaikwad
504 runs have been scored by Ruturaj Gaikwad in 14 games thus far. One of the most dependable performers in the competition has been the Chennai Super Kings’ first match. He has three 50s, with a strike rate of 148. His IPL 2023 score of 92 is his best. This powerful batter has already blasted 28 sixes in the competition.
Conway, Devon (CSK)
Devon Conway, a further entry from CSK, has so far achieved 585 points, with the top score being 92 (unbeaten). Despite not being as explosive as some of the other names on the list, he still managed to get six 50s. His average score is 53 and he has a respectable strike rate of 138. Conway comes in at number two on the list.

Up until the start of the IPL, Suryakumar Yadav was doing miracles for India. He had trouble scoring in the first five innings of the event he played. Surya was only able to score 15 or more in the other four games, with the exception of the 43 against the Kolkata Knight Riders. He had one goal against CSK and zero against Delhi Capitals (DC). Fortunately for Mumbai Indians, SKY quickly took up and began playing a series of deadly blows. Despite his previous performances being subpar, Yadav currently has a strike rate of 185. He has so far scored 511 runs, including one stunning hundred and four fifty-sevens.

Nobody has had a more successful start to the IPL 2023 season than Gujarat Titans (GT). In this competition, Shubman Gill had not only one but two consecutive centuries. He has surpassed giants like Virat Kohli and David Warner in the competition with his 680 runs scored thus far. He has also scored four 50s and has a strike rate of 15
